A Poco Loco Run is any run held in honor of the late Micah True and with some benefit to Norawas de Raramuri.
On July 20 and 21, Seattle running stores: Seven Hills Running and Born to Run, hosted Luis Escobar as he shared photographic memories of his experience "Running with the Tarahumara" in 2006 and 2013 Luis was part of the 2006 Dream Team of Mas Locos athletes featured in Christopher McDougall's best selling book, Born to Run.
Former resident of Batopilas Canyon, German artist Lutz Köllges created these unique images of the 2010 Ultra Caballo Blanco.
Artist Sam Carbaugh created this comic in honor of Caballo Blanco in collaboration with Mas Locos Maria Walton, Josue Stephens and Flint Bordeau.
The following is a race report from Hardscrabble Mountain Trail Run's director, Hal Walter. Four of our Raramuri friends were present at the race to run free and represent the Barrancas Del Cobre.
On 3/13, the pueblo of Urique, Chihuahua became alive as 137 International Mas Locos, 170 Mexican Nationals, and over 350 legendary Raramuri athletes, shared the valleys and peaks of the rippled earth of Las Barrancas del Cobre (The Copper Canyons) for the 11th annual, 50 mile Ultramaraton Caballo Blanco.
